The Department of Water and Environmental Regulation sought feedback on a discussion paper proposing amendments to the:
- description for category 63 to 66 and 89 of Schedule 1 of the Environmental Protection Regulations 1987, and
- Landfill Waste Classification and Waste Definitions 1996 (as amended December 2009)
The consultation was from 10 November 2017 to 2 February 2018 (12 weeks) and is now closed.

The Environmental Protection Amendment Regulations 2018 were gazetted on 27 April 2018.
The Landfill Waste Classification and Waste Definitions 1996 (amended 2018) document was published on 27 April 2018.
