Request for feedback

The Department of Water and Environmental Regulation (DWER) is responsible for administering the Contaminated Sites Act 2003 and the Contaminated Sites Regulations 2006. The department publishes administrative and technical guidelines relevant to site contamination under the Contaminated Sites Guideline banner.

The purpose of the draft MNA guideline is to assist proponents and environmental practitioners when planning and implementing an MNA program and when preparing report(s) to be submitted to DWER and/or accredited contaminated site auditors under the Contaminated Sites Act 2003. This draft guideline updates the MNA guidance published by the former Department of Environment in 2004.

Following the public consultation period, DWER will analyse submissions and revise the draft guideline as appropriate.

The Department is currently seeking feedback on the draft guideline.
