The Department of Water and Environmental Regulation is producing a series of emission and discharge guidelines to provide external stakeholders with further information on how we carry out regulatory functions under Part V Division 3 of the Environmental Protection Act 1986.

The draft Guideline: Air emissions is the second guideline developed in this series.

This guideline sets out our information requirements for the analysis of air emission impact for prescribed premises.

Guideline for consultation

We are seeking feedback on the draft Guideline: Air emissions.

Consultation duration

The consultation period will run from 11 October 2019 to 17 January 2020 (14 weeks).

All submissions must be received by 5pm (WST) on 17 January 2020.

Information session

The department is holding two information sessions on the Guideline: Air emission at Prime House, 8 Davison Terrace, Joondalup at:

  • 3pm (WST) on 28 November 2019 (no spaces left).
  • 10am (WST) on 5 December 2019.
