The Department of Water and Environmental Regulation has produced the Guideline: Odour emissions.

This guideline provides information regarding our assessment of odour emissions under Part V of the Environmental Protection Act 1986 (EP Act).

Consultation

The guideline was published following an extensive public consultation process from January to April 2018.

A consultation summary report has been prepared addressing the submissions received during two consultation periods and the changes made to the guideline in response to those submissions.         

Information sessions

We will run an information and training session for key interested stakeholders. The session will be focused on informing participants of the changes to the odour assessment process.

A 90-minute information session is planned for:

  • 12.00 pm Tuesday 20 August 2019

It will be held at Prime House, 8 Davidson Terrace, Joondalup.
